He is also an excellent fighter, who always uses the least amount of force necessary (except when showing off for the ladies) and he can be compassionate.  He doesn’t really join the group ever, but he does tend to show up a lot, and he is there for the final battle.

Dante had a human father and an Elven mother.  But his father died shortly after he was born and his mother returned to Exhire, pleading for herself and her child.  They were granted permission to stay, but they never spoke of the fact that Dante was half human, and many never knew.  He was raised as though he were a pure elf, trained in the use of the sword and some magic, emphasis on the healing arts.  He ran into Seth in Palmacosta and travels with him off and on.  Dante considers himself a wandering gentleman.  He has a good heart, but he has some ‘moral flexibility’.

Trev is young, but eager to fight, with a strong sense of justice.  His family was killed by Desians when he was 12.  Trevor joined the Palmacosta militia as soon as he was able, which happened to be just a few months before they were ambushed.  He managed to escape (he was off scouting when they were attacked) and returned to Palmacosta, but something kept him from reporting to Governor-General Dorr.  He ran into Dante who kind of took him in.  Trevor knows Devon fairly well, and they are very relieved to see one another well.
