This is the the Tale of Symphonia.

But there are other tales to be found here, other lives lived, other paths to be chosen. Truth is discovered in more than one way, and a war is fought on multiple fronts.

ToS: Scattered Remnants is the story of a man forever altered by the ever shifting tide of truth in this world.  He sets out to find truth and right wrongs, and, failing that... to exact revenge on those who disturb the peace and prosperity of the races of Sylvarant.  And he'll take all the help he can get...

This site is dedicated to the spin off series I created based on the game Tales of Symphonia.  It contains the story, characters, and concept sketches for this series, in addition to Tales links and fanart.  Plus... a little of whatever I feel like throwing in.  Enjoy!

Updates

Here is chapter 11, and chapter 12 is already started.  This chapter is still a little slow and relationship based, but in the next one I promise to get the plot moving along.  Plus... a new character introduction!  But not until next chapter... as for this chapter?  Also, a new link banner and two new link buttons, because I plan to put up version 4 of this site soon.

Summary

    With the addition of Seth to the party life was bound to get interesting.  But with so many differences between them can Devon and the adventurer reach some sort of understanding... and maybe earn a measure of respect from one another?

Boy, I don't update much here do I?  Probably not much this summer either, I'm in a play.  But I do come bearing chapter 10!  Thank my cousin Josh for that.  It'd still be sitting on my computer, unedited but fully written, if he hadn't bugged me about it tonight.

Summary

    With Devon's exsphere contained by a keycrest the worst seems to be over and the real quest can finally begin.  But when the rise in monster population stops all ships coming and going how can our heroes find their way to the Eastern continent?

It's been so long I'd be ashamed... if I hadn't given that up already ^_^  But I think you'll agree it was worth the wait.  All the character concept drawings are up.  They are three view sketch sheets with the front facing view in color complete with cell shading.  Aura only has two views because there was nothing extra to see in a side view...  No summary because I don't have a new chapter ready yet...

This was quick... chapter 9 is up... last time I said 9, but I meant 8 (as I'm sure you figured out) and I've now fixed it down there...  Also, updates may be slow for the rest of the summer.  My air conditioner is broken and my computer keeps overheating... sorry.

Summary

    Freed from the controlling influence of his exsphere Devon returns to his old self.  A little sword practice and a dwarven vow are all he needs to get back on the right track.

And... chapter 8 is up!  It's a little longer than the others have been.  And has far less dialogue.  I was reading A Wizard of Earthsea which has almost no dialogue what so ever... so blame it on that.  Still, I think it's pretty good ^_^

Summary

    The closer the party gets to Dirk's house the more withdrawn Devon becomes.  What is the cause?  And can the Dwarven smith truly save him?

See, I told you it wouldn't be so long ^_^  Chapter 7 is up, and I've already started chapter 8!  Aren't you proud?  And now... a new feature for our update (drum roll please).................... A (very brief) chapter summary!

             Devon and his companions have left the House of Salvation with dark thoughts on their minds.  Can a battle with some monsters from the world beyond restore their confidence?  But they'll find bigger problems in Iselia than they ever imagined...

Well, after many, many months of writers block (chapter six sat on my computer with the first scene for... well, since mid March...) chapter six is finally up!  Seven shouldn't be so long in coming, I have a pretty good idea where I'm going with the next two chapters.  But I make no promises... Anyway, you can see we have a new layout. And there is now a "History" page under "Other" that has past layouts ^_^  Also, a new banner and two new buttons under "link us" - they go with this theme...

Ello!  I put up the story section today.  It's a really, really, brief summary of the story. New chapter up next week probably.
